My relational approach blends conventional and traditional healing modalities, anchored in the belief that humans have an innate capacity to heal. I specialize in helping people unravel the effects of traumatic experiences and challenges associated with anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, adoption, mood disorders, unhealthy patterns of behavior, and high-functioning autism.
My intention is to empower you to develop a relationship with yourself beyond those internal challenges and external influences. My supportive approaches include narrative therapy, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, trauma-sensitive yoga, embodied meditation and breathwork (more details on the Approaches page).
I received a Master of Social Work from The University of Vermont and a Doctorate in Psychology from California Southern University. My varied experience includes working in schools, inpatient psychiatric programs as well as outpatient offices in urban and rural areas in the U.S. and while living in Hong Kong. This experience is enhanced by my study of traditional healing methods of various cultures through extensive travel around the world.
Currently, I am licensed as a clinical psychologist in California (32052) as well as a clinical social worker in Montana (11384) and Washington (LW60906496). I am also a 500-hour certified yoga and meditation instructor trained in India.
